Cast metal letters will require maintenance to retain their original luster. Cast metal letters should be periodically cleaned with a dish soap and water to remove any dirt or pollutants gathered from the environment.
Anodized finishes are not just coatings, they are part of the finished aluminum letter. Anodizing is an electrochemical process that hardens aluminum and allows it to be colorized. Standard finish for all prismatic and round face letters and logos are a bead blasted surface which produces a frosted effect. Standard brushed finish for prismatic cast logos may be available, depending on detail and logo profile.
Most cast metal letters and logos over 6'' high, can be produced with a Lexan back and LED lighting package.
Brushed finish is a #2-#3 finish (80-100 grit) directionally sanded face, vertical grain standard (optional horizontal), bead blasted returns with a low-gloss clear coating.
#4 Brushed is a smoother finish face than standard brushed (150-180 grit). Polished finish is a #7-#8 finish face; bead blasted returns with a gloss clear coating. Anodized finishes have no clear coat.
Polished anodized finishes are not available in Cast Aluminum.
Vertical grain and low gloss clear coat are standard on all non-polished cast aluminum and bronze letters, Horizontal grain or high gloss clear coat can be requested.
